This Privacy Policy applies to Talktive, an open source app developed by Le Wang. We understand the importance of your privacy and safety, and we are committed to protecting all users. By using our app, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Privacy Policy.

Age Restriction

Talktive is strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly allow minors to use our service. If we discover or are notified that a user is under 18, we will immediately terminate their access and delete associated data.

Information Collection

We do NOT collect any information that can be used to identify you. For example, the app does NOT collect any of the following data:

  • The IP address or location of your device
  • Your name, phone number, or email address
  • The operating system you use on your device

For analytics purposes only, we calculate the number of users, rooms and messages.

Data Storage

We periodically delete user-generated data that has expired. For example, inactive rooms become inaccessible to non-participants after one hour and are permanently deleted after 72 hours, at which point participants will no longer be able to access the room and its messages.

Access history is stored locally on your device.

Child Safety and Protection

Talktive has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We:

  • Strictly prohibit any content or behavior related to CSAE
  • Provide an in-app report button for immediate reporting of suspicious content
  • Review all reports promptly and take appropriate action
  • Cooperate with law enforcement when required
  • Permanently ban users found to be engaging in harmful behavior

Users can report inappropriate content or behavior through:

  1. The in-app report button available in every chat room
  2. Direct email to gnowoel@gmail.com

All reports are treated with utmost seriousness and investigated promptly.
