Welcome to Talktive, a digital social residence ("A cozy place to vent, confide, and find someone who listens"), developed by Le Wang ("we," "us," or "our"). We understand the paramount importance of resident privacy, safety, and late-night calm. We are dedicated to providing a safe harbor where you can express yourself freely and candidly without compromising your personal identity.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we process, what we deliberately do not collect, our strict ephemerality schedule, and how your privacy is protected when you visit and reside within Talktive. By downloading, accessing, creating a persona on, or using Talktive, you acknowledge and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Safe Harbor Commitment

Talktive is created as an anonymous sanctuary for thoughtful reflection, confiding, and mutual listening. Our architecture and policies are designed from the ground up to minimize data collection, separate your real-world identity from your digital interactions, and preserve a tranquil, confidential environment for all residents.

2. Age Restriction (Strictly 18+)

Talktive is exclusively intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly solicit, collect, or retain information from minors:

• Strictly 18+: Access to or residence within Talktive by anyone under 18 years of age is strictly prohibited.
• Immediate Termination: If we discover, have reason to believe, or are notified that an account belongs to a minor, we will immediately terminate the account, ban access, and permanently purge all associated data.

3. Information Collection & Persona Anonymity

We hold a firm belief in privacy through minimization and architectural separation:

• Social Authentication: We use secure third-party social sign-in (such as Google Sign-In) solely for account authentication, bot and spam defense, and community ban enforcement.
• ZERO PII in Personas: We do NOT collect, store, or display personally identifiable information (PII)—including your real name, phone number, or email address—within your personas or chats. You interact in the building solely under custom personas without permanent handles.
• What We Do NOT Collect:
  • No Precise GPS Tracking: We do not collect, track, or store precise GPS coordinates or real-time location data.
  • No Address Book or Contacts: We do not access, scan, or store your device's address book or contact lists.
  • No Real-Identity Connection: Your Google account credentials are kept strictly isolated; we never link or expose your real-world identity to your chat personas, public messages, or private conversations.

4. Anonymous Usage Telemetry

To keep the building running smoothly and reliably, we collect aggregated, non-personally identifiable usage statistics and crash metrics using Google Analytics. This anonymous telemetry helps us monitor application stability, detect bugs, and guide feature improvements without tracking individual residents or personal identities.

5. Data Storage & Ephemerality Schedule

To protect resident privacy and promote unburdened, honest dialogue, Talktive enforces automatic content ephemerality. All resident communications automatically expire and are permanently purged according to the following schedule:

• Plaza Messages: Open-air public community messages are automatically cleared after 3 days.
• Moments: Bulletin board thoughts, snapshots, and updates automatically vanish after 7 days.
• Lounges: Clubroom and topic-based group discussions are automatically cleared after 14 days.
• Private Chats: One-on-one direct messages are permanently deleted after 30 days (unless retained under the active archive preferences of a Talktive Plus subscriber).

Once content has expired and is purged according to this schedule, it is permanently deleted from our servers and cannot be recovered or reconstructed.

6. Child Safety and Protection

Talktive maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and any form of child endangerment:

• Any content, image, message, or behavior depicting, encouraging, or related to CSAE or child exploitation is strictly prohibited.
• Violating content is immediately removed and purged from our servers.
• Accounts involved in child safety violations are permanently banned without warning.
• We cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities and proactively report child safety violations to organizations such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC).

7. Safety, Moderation & Reporting Mechanisms

Resident safety is our shared responsibility:

• Universal In-App Reporting: Accessible report buttons are provided across every section of Talktive—including the Plaza, Moments, Lounges, Private Chats, and Resident profiles.
• Building Staff Review: All reports submitted by residents are promptly reviewed by building staff and moderators to take appropriate disciplinary actions, such as warnings, content removal, Trust score reductions, temporary suspensions, or permanent bans.
• Direct Reporting: In addition to in-app reporting, residents can report abuse or safety violations directly via email to gnowoel@gmail.com.

8. Account Deletion & Data Rights

Residents retain complete control over their residence in Talktive:

• In-App Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account at any time directly within the application settings.
• Support Deletion Requests: You may also request account deletion at any time by contacting us at gnowoel@gmail.com.
• Immediate Purge: Deleting your account permanently purges your personas, chat histories, active listings, and associated data from our active databases.
