Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Talktive, a social app developed by Le Wang ("we," "us," or "our"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the service.

1. Age Requirements and Restrictions

• Talktive is strictly for users aged 18 and older.
• You must be at least 18 years old to access or use our service.
• By using this service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
• We will terminate accounts of users found to be under 18.

2. Authentication and Personas

• We utilize secure social authentication (such as Google Sign-In) to establish accounts, prevent spam/abuse, and maintain a safe harbor.
• Users participate in the residence via custom personas.
• Impersonation of other residents, moderators, or staff is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate suspension.

3. Child Safety and Protection Talktive maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We:

• Prohibit any content or behavior involving minors
• Ban users who violate this policy
• Report illegal activities to relevant authorities
• Remove harmful content immediately

4. Ephemerality & Deletion To protect privacy, data is periodically deleted:

• Plaza messages: Deleted after 3 days.
• Lounge contents: Deleted after 14 days.
• Private Chats: Deleted after 30 days, unless preserved by a Talktive Plus user.
• Moments: Deleted after 7 days.

5. User Conduct Users must NOT:

• Share any content involving minors or harassment
• Post explicit or inappropriate media
• Share real-world personally identifiable information (PII) of themselves or others
• Attempt to identify other residents
• Impersonate any person or brand

6. Talktive Plus Subscriptions

• Talktive Plus is an optional premium subscription that unlocks features (e.g. custom avatars, voice messages, chat persistence).
• Subscriptions are billed and managed via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms and refund policies.

7. Disclaimers

• The service is provided "as is".
• We are not responsible for user-generated content.
• We make no guarantees about service availability.

8. Changes to Terms We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of Talktive constitutes acceptance of any changes.
